DescriptionConsisting of: (3) Sima Extruders, 2.5" x 24:1 L/D, 7.5 hp Leeson IEC Metric motor, Bonsiglioli (Italy) gearbox. (3) Individual SS feed hoppers, 1 CF capacity, 20" x 16" x 40". Siti 60:1 geared melt-pumps, Lafert 0.5 hp motor. Extrusion head - 3 spinneret section, 20-30 spinnerets. Each head supplied by all three extruders (3 color capability) Spinnerets - 3 blocks 7" x 5", 60 - 100 dies/block Quench - Chilled water bath 30" x 20" x 30" deep. 10? section where fans or air knives can be used. (2) Godet Sets, 3"W x 4" dia, (1st & 5th), 3 rolls each, 5 hp each, NOT heated. (3) Godet Sets, 3"W x 4" dia, (2nd, 3rd, 4th), 7 rolls each, 5 hp each, NOT heated. (4) Electric Stretch Ovens, 36"L x 4"W, plate heaters top & bottom. Drives for Godet rolls - stretching sections 5 X 10 hp Liquid additive feed system - pot, pump, tubing Control cabinet for entire system Platform - for access to feeders and extruders, melt pumps Skid for entire system - 48' X 7' - with removeable casters Air requirements - 15 hp compressor for using strand pulling tools, otherwise minimal Electrical requirement - 480V, 3 phase, 300 amp (for start-up), lower demand when running Line designed for mono or multi-filament. Reported only ran about 400 hrs for trials of 200-4000 denier nylon 6, PP, HDPE but should be able to run other resins. Tenacity range reported to exceed 10 depending upon draw ratios. Ran fine deniers mostly with capacity limited to ~100 pph / extruder but could be higher with heavier deniers or for staple fiber production. NOTE: Line was previously operating with downstream accumulators and drawtwisters but these items are no longer available. Takeup winders or crimper & cutter could be added to complete a filament or staple line.
