Description	type 623 003, 2130 mm (84"), division 2:12 mm, Fineness: E 6.2. Manuals, tool kit, and spares including 2 new motors and needles. Appears in VG to excellent condition. The multi-gauge for the 6.2 means it can either be knitted in a 6 or 12 gauge only. Reported to be a middle ground model. 6 gauge knits with every other needle using a thicker yarn or multiple ends. 12 gauge is every needle with a thinner yarn for a finer look. The Stoll flatbed is for fully fashioned clothing so it can knit decreases or increases for garments. There is also an option to knit 2 pieces at once. Such as 2 scarves, with the same pattern. For this, parts may need to be purchased through Stoll for the "tandem carriages" The 80" width makes it easier to knit 2 pieces unlike the most common models which are around 50" across. This machine was initially used for sweaters using the Complett machines but last running 20/2 cotton & 2/28 wool knitting blankets & scarves and they were not needed. (2) associated Complett Linking Machines were purchased specifically for this model of Stoll. One was for running the 6 gauge and the other for the 12 gauge. They link the garment pieces together like a sewing machine. These are available separately.
