MachineWHITIN 40" Woolen Card,
DescriptionCard set up for long staple fibers. Has automatic Whitin Model A2 feeder and runs from new 5 hp 3 phase motor with variable frequency drive allowing it to run on single phase. There are 5 sets of 8" workers and 3" strippers, the cylinder is 60" with (2)- 12" licker-in and the 30" doffer. Has been equipped with a roving deck but could easily be converted to a batt drum if desired. Was reclothed before put into storage for sale. Has been well maintained in running condition. Weight approx. 10,000 lbs. Dimensions are: 70" by 10 feet, without feeder; the feeder is Model A2 and is 70 inches wide, including the drive shaft, by 36".
