| Description | MPM 2 1/2" (64MM) Extruder, 30:1 L/D, 50 H.P. (D.C.), 9.4:1 gearbox ratio, (5) heat zones on the barrel, (2) zones on die adaptor, 3 film die zones, with a P.P./P.E. screw.
Spare screw (looks to be new). On photo with extruder controls.
EDI 17" Flexlip Film Die, Ultra Flex 40, backfed, gooseneck (90 degrees down to quench).
Spare EDI 10" Flexlip Film Die (in box on photo), gooseneck (90 degrees down to quench).
Complete controls including D.C. speed controls, ampere meters, temperature meters, and Barber Coleman 520 temperature controls. (Owner has new West Digital Temperature Controls for the line, but never installed them - can be included).
Stainless Steel Quench Tank, 38" wide X 42" long X 28" deep, with idler rolls, water temperature indicator, and air wipe mounted at exit of quench.
Slitter Bar mounted at the front of the first godet, down into 3 1/2" idler rolls below drawn by first godet.
First Godet has (2) steel rolls (oil heated) 10" dia. X 21" face with a lower-center pressure rubber nip roll into the first orientation oven 34" wide X 20" long. (See photo). Has rotary joints and lines that appears to be for chilled water (rather than steam or hot oil).
Second and third godets are (3) steel rolls each with top-mounted pressure rubber nips, 9" dia. X 33" face. Has rotary joints and lines that appears to be for chilled water (rather than steam or hot oil).
Main draw oven, between second and third godets, is 34" wide X 9' long.
The entire line was rebuilt approximately one year before shut down.
Everything on the line appears to be in excellent condition. The rubber nip rolls are like new and the only components that need cleaning are the dies and steel parts from being on the storage trailer.
There is an additional MPM oven 6' x 48" included. 1978 yr and rebuilt in 1997 and run two years before shutting down. |
