DescriptionHigh Modulus Low Shrinkage Polyester (PET) Tire Yarn. Summary: (6) BARMAG extruders, 120mm diameter - (5) 24:1 L/D and (1) 30:1 L/D. Modular lines with all downstream equipment made by Acordis, TMT, and Viba Siat. Each unit has 2 TMT (Teijing) high speed automatic winders - each with 3 take ups of 290mm traverse x 90 core for bobbins of approx 11-12 kgs. Winding speed for tire cord was between 5000-6000 mpm. High tenacity yarn can be produced but winder speed needs to be reduced to 3000 mpm. (3) spare winders (needs to be confirmed). The factory produced 1100, 1670 and 2200 dtex with average production ~360 kgs/hr per extruder or ~2160 kgs/hour total. 2 Atlas Copco extruders for the intermingling are available separately. The twisters have been sold and are not available. The spinning machines were installed from 2003-2007; one in 2003, three in 2005, one in 2006 and the last one in 2007. The spinning machines have been well maintained until the last day of production in September 2008. Since then the spinning machines have been standing idle at a temperature and humidity to keep them well-conditioned. Maximum capacity of one spinning machine is 2500 ton/year, so total capacity of all 6 machines is 15000 ton/year. PET tire yarns can be produced with a linear density in the range of 1100 dtex up to 2200 dtex. Lay-out of the PET tire yarn spinning machines All six spinning machine are situated on three floors (ground floor, first and second), space between each floor is 6 meters. Each spinning machine has one bunker and hopper. The process is fed with post-condensed, dried PET polymer. (NO dryer or post-condensation unit are included.) The bunker is filled on top with PET polymer. The polymer goes to a hopper The hopper feeds the extruder. The extruder is placed on a floor in-between floor 1 and 2. Five spinning machines are equipped with a Barmag 120 mm Ø extruder of type 12E10\24D, one with a Barmag 120 mm Ø extruder of type 12E10\30D. After extrusion the fluid polymer goes through polymer lines to the spinning box (spin pump, spinning plate, etc). Each extruder feeds 2 spinning boxes, each spinning box has 1 spinning pump for 3 spinning positions. (6) quench boxes of one spinning machine. Quenching is cross flow in combination with rectangular spinnerets. Concluding; set-up of the upper part of one spinning machine is; 1 bunker, 1 hopper, 1 extruder, 2 spinning boxes/pumps, 6 quench boxes (one quench box for each yarn). The lower part of a spinning machine is split-up in two drawing-relaxation-winding parts for three yarns each. From the quench box the undrawn yarn goes via a tube and spin finish applicator to a godet duo for fixing the spinning speed. The panel with yarn cutter and spin finish applicator. Set-up of the draw/relaxation field is 3 godet duo's and a position to apply adhesion activator (AA) on the yarn. Maximum godet speed is 7000 m/min. Concluding; one spinning machine has 6 spinning positions, the yarn being produced on 2 drawing panels with a winding head for 3 yarns each.
