Description	Sterling 4.5" Extruder, Mfg. 1980, Good Condition, screw RPM 150. The extruder is powered by a 150 hp Bull Motor with 3 Hp cooling fan, 500V armature/300v field, 1750 RPM. Extruder has 6 cooling fans, 1/3 hp, for 6 heating zones. The STERLING has electric heat in each of the zones. Furnished with control cabinet displaying and controlling the temperature of each zone. Extruder employs a 150HP Maxpak drive. Shipped with High Tech Screen shifter and screen shifter control cabinet. Continuous screen type working off pressure. Screen shifter requires cooling Extruder furnished with water cooled heat exchanger for gear box and extruder throat cooling. The Sterling is furnished with auger hopper to supply virgin resin and regrind to screw and barrel. The barrel and screw were shut down full of pp material to prevent air from reaching the screw and barrel and causing rust. Therefore the extruder barrel will need to be heated before start-up! This particular extruder was used to manufacture various deniers of pp tape from 600 denier to 2550 denier.
